About
Dr. Elizabeth Newell (she/her/hers) joined Spokane OB/GYN in September 2022. Dr. Newell is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her drive is to empower patients to meet their full potential in life by providing excellent healthcare through all stages of life. She has a passion to be a patient advocate and provide evidence-based medicine to her patients so they can make informed decisions. Dr. Newell is skilled in performing minimally invasive surgery, contraception, and medical management of gynecological issues such as abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, and pelvic pain. She has particular interests in caring for patients with endometriosis, LGBQTIA2s+ community, obstetrics including high-risk pregnancies and performing a high-volume of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Newell graduated from Rush Medical College in 2012 in Chicago, IL and graduated from residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in 2016 in Dayton, OH. After residency Dr. Newell went onto hospital-employed practice previously as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Colorado before relocating to Spokane. She began practice in Spokane in 2019 with Northwest OB/GYN for 3 years in Spokane before transitioning to our practice here at Spokane OB/GYN. She is excited to continue to dedicate her career to the care of patients of all spectrums and be a leader within the community. She received the Spokane Top Doctors Award in 2022 nominated by her medical peers.
Her medical memberships include fellow of ACOG, member of NAMS (North American Menopause Society), AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists), WPATH (World Professional Association of Transgender Health), AIUM (American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine), Washington State Medical Association, Spokane Medical Society, and G.R.A.I.N. (LGBQTIA+ local ally organization).
